COMPENSATION

Compensation for C19 Jab Adverse Effects

'No Fault' Compensation Process

01

Within 30 days of any negative experience, adverse events following C19 injection, should be reported to the Dept. of Health using the case reporting form or the SAHPRA’s MedSafety App. Thereafter, email DOH for updates at aefi@health.gov.za

02

The adverse events will be shared with the province you are located in for investigation. All medical records, previous medical history and autopsy results (if required) will be collected to facilitate causality assessment. Keep these ready.

03

The National Immunisation Safety Expert Committee, an independent expert committee, will conduct causality assessment, to determine if the vaccine caused the event.

04

The outcome of causality assessment (for applicable adverse events) will be referred to the No Fault Compensation Administrator, who will then review the outcome of causality assessment and and consider the event for compentsation.

05

The administrator will contact the vaccinee during the adjudication process to finalise the compensation, if the adverse event is linked to the use of the vaccine.
